SINGAPORE, Wave Studios, today announced the launch of Dinosaur ABCs for the iPhone, iPod and iPad.

Dinosaur ABCs is a new type of educational phonics game where kids can use touch gestures to interact with letters and Dinosaurs. These letters produce phonic sounds and can be moved to form words.  What makes the game so unique is that it is done in a film like interactive storybook where voice narration is used throughout the game.

Kids can join Frank the Trex, Tom the Triceratops, David the Diplodocus, Peter the Pteranadon and Steve the Stegosaurus in exploring prehistoric Earth!

The development team's goal in Dinosaur ABCs was to make a game that that had a combination of five elements fun, interactivity, story telling,  music and lastly Dinosaurs. Many of the educational games on the app store had poor game design, poor interactivity, no story, terrible sound and most importantly were simply not fun.

"We believe that children learn better when they have fun learning. Dinosaur ABCS lets kids have fun learning to spell words and Dinosaur names," said head programmer Tan YL.
In Dinosaur ABCs we aimed to capture the essence of traditional cartoons of the 1960s and 70s like the Road Runner and combine it with the modern capabilities of the iPad where you can interact with the characters on screen.  We painstakingly used traditional frame by frame animation coupled with a great soundtrack to capture the feel of that era of cartoons. The final product creates a new standard for educational games that merges nostalgia of the past with the magic of the iPad that we hope millions of children can enjoy.

Currently Dinosaur ABCs is both avaliable for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch at a price of $0.99 USD in Apple app stores world wide.
